Founded in 1970, with Clarinda Harriss as its director since 1973, BrickHouse publishes works of poetry, fiction, drama, and artistic nonfiction. We look for fresh, nontrendy, and intelligent material in any form or style. If you're interested in submitting your work to us, please first read our submission guidelines.

Special imprints under BrickHouse Books include New Poets Series, which publishes first books only, and Stonewall, which publishes work with a gay, lesbian, or bisexual perspective. BrickHouse is also home to Chestnut Hills Press, an author-subsidy option offered to selected manuscripts rejected from our other presses.
