When Pam and Dan Pisner welcomed quintuplets in 1983, their family made the cover of LIFE. At home, just getting five babies out the door took a van stocked like a diaper bag.
In InConceivable: How My Parents Survived the Joy and Chaos of Raising Quintuplets, Shira Pisner Kundinger, the only girl among the five, tells the story alongside her parents. Their memories take us from round-the-clock feedings to the siblings’ driving tests, which aired on national television. Along the way, we get to know five children the public met as a set and the different people they grew up to be.
